We’ve spent a lot of time lately talking about beauty products – and with good reason! Alongside a plethora of favored natural ingredients, CBD is also making its way into every sort of topical product from lotion to after-sun care.
But we were curious – can you actually replace an entire skin care regimen with only products containing CBD? The answer is yes – and it’s surprisingly easy!
For all-over skincare
Bluebird Botanicals CBD Lotions
We’ve got three varieties of CBD skincare goodness here at Bluebird Botanicals: Hemp Essential, Hemp Silk, and Hemp Sport. And, if I’m being honest, this one wasn’t really a CBD beauty routine swap for me because I already use all three, depending on my needs!
My go-to everyday lotion is the Hemp Essential. It’s pure and simple, like our Hemp Classic CBD oil blend. I like to mix in a little Roman Chamomile essential oil to complement the scent, and I slather it all over my skin.
The Hemp Silk is my beautifying best friend. It’s already got its own lovely scent, so my main focus with this babe is how luxurious it makes my skin feel.
Hemp Sport makes it into my routine following a particularly active day. It also makes it into my backpack anytime I go out for a hike. Packed with arnica and ginger alongside its healthy serving of CBD, this one is also my favorite to use for massages.
For your face
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 – and this is step 1 in my facial skin care routine.
This exfoliating cleanser from the CBD Skincare Co. was an easy switch to make. This gentle cleanser using jojoba beads boasts full-spectrum CBD as well as orange and grapefruit essential oils. The scent is a great, energizing pick-me-up in the morning. And it’s totally organic!
This one is admittedly a bit pricier than my normal skin care spend, but that’s because it’s awesome.
The AdvoCANNA Mist Toner is great for removing dirt and oil, helping unclog pores and keep your skin smooth and supple. This particular toner combines witch hazel with aloe vera to promote both cleansing and hydrating sensations. It also has our favorite cannabinoid, CBD!
I like to use my toner as part of my morning face-washing routine, but this CBD toner can be misted on multiple times to help balance your skin throughout the day. Now, that’s smooth!
Living in arid Colorado has transformed my D.C.-borne skin care routine, and moisturizer has become a key player.
My favorite CBD variety is the High Beauty High Five Cannabis Seed Facial Moisturizer. It’s super soothing, with red grape as well as black cumin seed (something that is featured in Bluebird’s Hemp Signature and Hemp Signature Concentrated CBD Oil blends). And it’s suitable for all skin types!
For your hair
You may be asking yourself, “why would I even want CBD in my hair care products?” But don’t forget about your poor scalp! CBD shouldn’t just be on your mind, it should be on your head (in the literal sense) as well.
In this case, the CBD Skincare Co is making it into my list again. Their CBD Infused Shampoo has Swertia japonica extract, which is a traditional Japanese hair care ingredient intended to address hair loss.I found the product to be generally soothing for my somewhat dry scalp. CBD, rinse, repeat.
This CBD Conditioner from CBD For Life was such a great find! It’s a pretty good price for its serving, and it’s fully moisturizing without being heavy or weighty. It’s also got lemongrass and rosemary essential oils, so it smells great when it’s sitting on my scalp. I think this one may be a permanent swap.
Curious what other CBD beauty products are out there? There’s a whole host of other options available, from the wild to wonderful. But one final one I wanted to mention was this Kana Skincare Lavender CBD Sleeping Mask.
While I think the divine aspects of this product are pretty clear from its name, I’ll share a little bit more about why I love it. It uses full-spectrum hemp extract (something we Bluebirds are big fans of) as well as lavender and 27 other botanicals blended into a beautifully whipped and easy-to-apply cream. It’s intended to work while you sleep, so it’s pretty low-effort, too.
I’m someone who tries to stay relatively minimal when it comes to beauty care (yes, I remember I picked three lotions) so I only had these select key products to replace in my beauty routine. But, rest assured that if you’ve got a beauty care need – it’s as easy as C-B-D.
If you’ve got additional product needs not found on this list, fret not – just type “CBD [insert product name]” into your favorite search engine, and you’ll find plentiful options. We like to use Ecoasia’s search engine, because it plants trees with every search!
If you do go sleuthing on the internet, just be sure to vet the intended new additions to your beauty care family by checking the company and/or ingredients on a site like EWG.org.
