Reflections On Our Anniversary: The Past, Present & Future Of Bluebird Botanicals

"We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future." - George Bernard Shaw

The Bluebird flock is celebrating something special this week - the company’s fifth anniversary of being in the CBD space. Five years may seem like a short time in the grand scheme of things, but for Bluebird, it has been a period of intense growth, innovation, and hope for the future. Life looked very different when our founder and CEO, Brandon Beatty, first made the decision to start selling hemp extracts in 2013. The family-owned company had originally hatched in 2012 as Gaia Botanicals, an herbal dietary supplement company. From a young age, Brandon had been fascinated by the health benefits of various natural products like pine pollen tinctures and powders, tea pollen, and shilajit. However, he quickly recognized the untapped potential of hemp extracts. As a lifelong advocate for the benefits of cannabis, he saw the tremendous opportunity he could provide to others and began selling the company's first line of CBD oils in 2013.

Shortly afterward, in early 2014, Gaia Botanicals transformed into Bluebird Botanicals. Throughout history, the bluebird has been recognized as a symbol of happiness and hope and a harbinger of good tidings. Thus, it became the perfect mascot for the company and, in fact, became our own harbinger of good tidings.

Today, we are digging even harder into our mission to make happy and healthy lifestyles radically accessible to everyone. We also make a daily commitment to live out our core values of compassion, transparency, generosity, reliability, and altruism. One of the ways we do this is through involvement with our community, particularly on the legislative front. Our team is passionate about driving the cannabis industry forward to make the benefits of hemp accessible to everyone. We demonstrate this commitment through our involvement with several other industry associations, including the Hemp Industries Association, the National Hemp Association, VoteHemp, and the U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

So where is Bluebird headed next? It may seem like the hemp industry is already exploding, but Brandon thinks this is just the tip of the iceberg. “The hemp industry could soon become one of the biggest in the world. As this happens, we intend to be at the forefront leading the charge for a healthier future. At the same time, we want to make sure we stay true to our roots as a family-owned business.”

As Bluebird continues to grow over the coming years, we will remain committed to serving the community by delivering the highest quality CBD oil on the market. We truly believe in the life-changing benefits of hemp extract and want to share those benefits with as many as possible. More importantly, we are profoundly grateful to our customers and community for the love, support and loyalty over the past five years. As the industry moves forward into the next five years, our community will remain at the heart of Bluebird Botanicals.
