Bluebird’s CBD Salad Recipe

Summer Salad Ingredients:

  • 3-4 cups mixed greens or arugula
  • 1 apple, sliced into wedges
  • 2 thick pieces of chopped bacon or smoked seitan bacon, cooked to taste
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup goat cheese crumbles
  • ½ cup dried or fresh cranberries


CBD Salad Dressing Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Bluebird Hemp Complete CBD Oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil, grapeseed oil, or a mix

    Note: Olive oil will make a stronger-tasting dressing while grapeseed oil or another neutral-tasting vegetable oil will make a milder dressing. Personally, I like an equal mix of both.
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped shallot
  • 1 to 1½  tablespoons poppy seeds
  • ½ tablespoon hemp seeds or hemp hearts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper






CBD Salad Instructions:

  1. Chop, chop, baby. Slice and dice your ingredients for the salad and dressing. 
  2. Toss arugula, chopped bacon, apple wedges, and walnuts in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  3. Combine your Bluebird CBD Hemp Complete Oil, apple cider vinegar, oil and/or grapeseed oil and chopped shallot in a small mixing bowl.
  4. Slowly stir in ground mustard, maple syrup, hemp hearts and poppy seeds.
  5. Add salt and pepper to dressing to taste. Set aside dressing mixture.
  6. Tumble on your goat cheese crumbles and serving of cranberries.
  7. Drizzle on dressing.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Recipe yields 2-4 servings, depending on whether you are planning to serve as an appetizer or the main meal.

How long is my CBD dressing good for?

Your homemade CBD salad dressing should be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator. If stored properly, the dressing will stay good for up to two weeks. Make sure to label your salad dressing container with the date so you can be sure to use while its still got optimum freshness.
