Since its humble beginnings in 2012, Bluebird Botanicals has been on a mission to make a happy and healthy lifestyle radically accessible to all. The team has lived out this mission through a fierce adherence to quality and transparency because we want every customer to feel empowered and confident in taking supplements that they can trust. As a demonstration of our commitment to our customers, we’ve proudly been a good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliant production facility since 2018 – in fact, we were one of the first CBD companies in the nation to undergo this process. This involves an annual audit performed by Eurofins Scientific, a world-leading laboratory testing company, in order to be determined GMP-compliant.
Now, Bluebird Botanicals is excited to announce that we passed our most recent third-party audit with a perfect 100% score.
Quality Assurance Manager Kasey Irwin explained, “Quality has always been Bluebird’s number one priority. But never has it been more evident than achieving a 100% compliance score on our most recent third-party GMP audit. In addition, Bluebird was found to be in compliance with good manufacturing practices for both dietary supplements and food. We are so proud of our team for implementing and maintaining operational practices of the highest standard.”
A GMP inspection includes a thorough review of quality systems, supplier management, the control of raw materials, documentation, calibration, and validation. Detailed processes are standardized for all aspects of workflow and a tight study is conducted of all critical control points for contamination.
Said Bluebird’s CEO and Founder Brandon Beatty, “One of the differentiators that set Bluebird apart from the rest of the industry is our refusal to take shortcuts. Our perfect GMP audit score is a symbol of this commitment, as well as a symbol of the commitment we have to our partners and customers.”
Passing the GMP inspection is largely a testimony to the dedication of Kasey and Quality Supervisor Harrington Baker who both work tirelessly to ensure the company is in line with regulatory best practices across the board. Lab and operations managers Luke Brigham, Fionn Masterson, and Dave Sommer were also instrumental in implementing the manufacturing and quality processes that earned Bluebird the highest score possible.
