We're thrilled to announce that our hemp is finally being grown in our home state of Colorado! This has been a goal of ours for several years, and the landscape has finally changed enough for us to make the transition.

Earlier in 2017 we partnered with local farmers who are helping to grow our hemp (pictures below), and we'll soon have Bluebird signage up and will be conducting tours/visits at the farm. Despite that CO doesn't have quite the same soil richness as KY, the resulting extracts used in the final products have extremely similar cannabinoids ratios, terpene profiles, flavor, smell, color, texture and thickness to the extracts we've always used.

To celebrate the timing of this change, which has helped boost our efficiency and lower our costs, we've accordingly lowered our retail prices by a substantial amount.

Product update: products on the website that currently use Colorado hemp include CBD Isolate, Hemp Extract Capsules, and Hemp Capsules for Pets. All other products are in the manufacturing process using Colorado hemp and will be added back to the website when 3rd party batch results are ready. Hemp Classic and Classic 6X are also both still available on the site, but for the next couple weeks these two products still use our older hemp. When all products are back in stock and using 100% Colorado hemp, we will send an email blast to all our email subscribers with another update. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience as we pass through this slight manufacturing gap.

If you have any questions or comments about this, feel free to email us at [email protected]

Sincerely,

The Bluebird Team

Laura:

I have been asked to help find a source of funding in the current state that I live in-southern Maryland-that may assist with funding housing and or various shelters for the local homeless families and folks. This is farmer's land and to my understanding the land was used for tobacco crops in the past. I feel that perhaps Hemp crops would help if the local farmers are willing to invest-market the oils and multitude of resources that can be obtained from the alternative fiber to cotton. I think that your web site and the work that you do to provide quality Hemp products to the communities is awesome. I am going to introduce this idea to the local board who work with the homeless. It may all fall on deaf ears, but it is worth a shot. A lot of negative feedback with my asking questions from locals and business people. So far not much in positive direction received. Thank you for your informative web site and the super quality products.
